Guizella Rocabado Delgadillo
A doctorate holder in chemistry education and a former Florida - Georgia Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation fellow. She holds a graduate certificate in program and personnel evaluation. Her research focuses on development and testing of instruments for use with diverse populations to investigate the role of the affective domain in undergraduate STEM learning and persistence, particularly for minoritized student populations. She is well-versed in various statistical techniques as well as qualitative data collection and analysis methods in which she engages critical race and other relevant theories. Additionally, she has extensive experience in science teaching, proposal and academic writing, and is fluent in Spanish. In her spare time, she likes to travel and try new foods, and learn about a variety of cultures and people.
Rebecca E. Gibbons
A doctorate holder in chemical education and a practicing assessment and evaluation professional. Her research has focused on the measurement of affective characteristics of students in postsecondary classrooms, especially achievement emotions and self-efficacy as well as the design of instruments to measure faculty perceptions of and use of evidence-based instructional practices. In more recent work, she engages in critical race and other methodologies, such as counter-storytelling, in the collection of qualitative data through conversational interviewing to generate understandings of experience for individuals from minoritized populations. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her canine companion exploring the native environments of the US.
